Getting Around
It is quite easy to amble round the Shambles as the medieval cities central district is a lovely walk from pub to pub. It's unlikely that you would need to travel via bus or taxi anywhere amongst the cities central district, unless you were particularly lazy or staggeringly incoherent. Indeed many of the pubs and clubs are located in the Micklegate area of the town. Check our activity list to experience if transport is included to and from the activity in question (many are) but if you intend to stay amongst the confines of the town, then there's no need for a designated driver which means nobody being sensible and forcing you to come back to the hotel still wearing your trousers! Hurrah!
